Work it out before you ask for a price.
Four calculators for the questions that come up on every enquiry — weights, container loading, system sizing and what each Incoterm actually covers. Nothing is sent anywhere; it all runs in your browser.
Steel weight & container loading
Theoretical weight at 7,850 kg/m³. Gives weight per metre and per piece, pieces per tonne, and how many pieces a container carries before it reaches its payload limit — which is what actually caps a steel load, not volume.
Theoretical figures. Rolling tolerance means actual weight varies typically ±3–6% by standard; contracts are written on theoretical or actual weight, and we state which on every offer.
Bagged cargo — container fill
For rice, sugar, flour, pulses and any bagged commodity. Tells you whether the load runs out of weight or of space first — the mistake that turns a good price into a bad landed cost.
A 50 kg bag of milled rice runs roughly 60–65 litres; sugar is denser, around 55.
Volume figures allow 12% for stowage loss. Payload limits vary by shipping line and by road regulations at destination — we confirm both before booking.
Solar system sizing
From a monthly electricity bill to a system size, module count, roof area and battery bank. Enough to price a package; a site survey settles the rest.
Battery figure assumes 85% usable depth of discharge on LiFePO4 and an even load through the day. A load profile weighted to evenings needs a larger bank.
What each Incoterm actually covers
Choose the term you have been quoted. Dark blocks are ours; light blocks are yours. The point most disputes turn on is where risk transfers — stated underneath.
CIF — Cost, Insurance and Freight
Import duty, customs clearance and any destination charges remain the buyer’s under every term above except where a DAP contract states otherwise in writing.
Send it to us and we’ll price it.
These tools give you the tonnage and the container count. Send those with your grade, destination port and required Incoterm, and a firm offer follows within two working days.
